Attorney General Steve Six administers the Crime Victims Rights Office to assist victims of crime on the road to recovery. This office works to ensure efficient and effective statewide coordination of local crime victim and witness assistance programs and direct assistance to crime victims and their families.

Units within the Attorney General's Crime Victims Rights Office:
- The Victim's Grant Unit administers four state funds to assist local and state crime victim assistance organizations.
- The Crime Victims' Compensation Board assists victims and their families with out-of-pocket expenses.
- The Domestic Violence Unit conducts trainings for law enforcement, assists victims and spreads awareness of this crime.
- The Batterer Intervention Program (BIP) Unit is responsible for the Certification of programs that offer batterer intervention services across the State of Kansas. This Unit also offers training and technical assistance to providers and community partners who are interested in developing or strengthening this area of their coordinated community response to domestic violence.
- The Victim Advocacy Unit assists crime victims by working directly with victims, crime victim and witness assistance programs and educating the public.
- The AMBER Alert Unit collaborates with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to maintain the Kansas AMBER Plan.
- The Kansas Child Death Review Board examines trends and patterns that identify risk factors in the deaths of children.
- The School Based Policing Unit helps advance efforts for local school-based officers and increase preparation for public health emergencies.
- The Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation Unit monitors complaints and releases findings of abuse in Kansas.
- Human Trafficking is the criminal activity of holding another person for the purposes of exploitation through forced labor and sex trafficking.
