Ksag.org earns top honor for consumer outreach

Attorney General Paul Morrison's Web site, www.ksag.org, earned the top award for online consumer outreach. The award was presented to the Kansas Attorney General's Office by the Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) at their annual convention last week.

Ksag.org was recognized for providing easy-to-use and updated information on consumer issues, including frequently asked questions, consumer tips that include answers to citizen letters and consumer information in Spanish. Previous winners of the CWAG best consumer outreach Web site include Arizona, California, Texas and Washington.

"From day one, my goal has been to build a top-notch professional law office that offers Kansans assistance with their consumer questions," Morrison said. "It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts to better serve consumers through our online office."

The new Ksag.org Web site was announced in April. The award winning consumer outreach section includes an online complaint form and numerous publications containing valuable consumer information. After three short months, the Web site is being recognized for excellence.

"We had two main reasons for giving the award to [Kansas]," CWAG wrote in a statement. "The first is that the Web site is easy to navigate; making it painless for consumers to quickly navigate their way to the correct information. And second was simply that they had great consumer information available on the Web site."
