Wade found guilty of first degree murder, aggravated burglary

August 6, 2008 -- Attorney General Steve Six announced today that Morgan Wade was found guilty of first degree premeditated murder and aggravated burglary in connection to a 2004 home invasion. Wade entered his estranged girlfriend's home on June 19, 2004 and shot her.

The jury trial in Chautauqua County this week was a retrial.  Wade was originally tried and convicted in 2005, but the conviction was overturned by the Kansas Supreme Court.

Sentencing will be 9:00 a.m. September 24, 2008.
