Purpose: To provide for ongoing operating expenses of programs, including court-appointed special advocate programs, providing temporary emergency shelter for victims of child abuse and neglect, counseling and assistance to those victims or educational services directed at reducing the incidence of child abuse and neglect and diminishing its impact on the victim.
Eligible Applicants: Funds are available to private not-for-profit organizations. No local match is required.
Funding Source: Percentage equal to 50 cents of state district court docket fees and 50 cents of municipal court docket fees fund this account of the Crime Victims' Assistance Fund.
